We’re so happy you’ve chosen to adopt! To help guide you through the process, here’s what to expect—plus answers to common questions. If you need anything else, we’re just a message away.

🐱 Kitten Timeline

• 🏡 Foster Care: Kittens stay with their foster families until at least 12 weeks of age.

• ✂️ Spay/Neuter: All kittens are altered before adoption.

• 📅 Scheduling: We’ll work with you to schedule your adoption day.

• 📲 Checkout: A Shelterluv checkout link will be texted to you once their surgery info is updated (typically 1–2 days before adoption).

• 📧 Medical Records: After checkout, you’ll receive:

  • Full medical history

  • Informational resources

  • Microchip and rabies tag details

💰 Adoption Fee

$125 per kitten

🧾 What’s Included:

• ✅ Spay/Neuter

• ✅ Microchip (with lifetime registration)

• ✅ Rabies Vaccine

• ✅ FVRCP Boosters (your kitten may need one more after adoption)

• ✅ Flea & Tick Preventative

• ✅ Dewormings

• ✅ FELV/FIV Testing

• ✅ Fecal Testing

🧳 Adoption Day Checklist

• 🧺 Bring a secure cat carrier

• 📬 Medical records are emailed, not printed

• 📎 You’ll receive:

  • Microchip info

  • Rabies tag

💡 Your kitten’s microchip will be auto-registered with PetLink. You’ll receive a confirmation email to manage your PetLink account if you’d like.
