Planned Giving
At SOS Pet Rescue, we strive to build a more humane world — one animal at a time. We believe every pet, regardless of their past, deserves the chance to feel safe, loved, and valued.
Supporting this mission can also be part of a beautiful legacy that anyone can leave through planned giving.
What Is Planned Giving?
A planned gift is any gift, made during your lifetime or at the time of death, as part of your overall financial and/or estate planning.
Leaving a planned gift to SOS Pet Rescue ensures your commitment to building a more humane world continues even after you are gone.
No matter which planned giving option you choose — or the amount — your donation will support our work to create a kinder world for animals and the people who love them.
Note: We encourage you to check with your financial advisor or attorney to develop a plan.
Examples of Planned Giving
Specific Monetary Gift or Property
You can donate a specific item or amount to SOS Pet Rescue, including:
A monetary gift (example: $500)
A percentage of your estate (example: 10%)
Property or valuables such as a vehicle, land, or artwork
This can be arranged now or set to take effect in the future.
Residuary Gift
A residuary gift is made after your estate has paid its expenses and fulfilled other obligations. SOS Pet Rescue would receive whatever remains of your estate after all other terms have been met.
Qualified Charitable Distribution
You may also be able to support SOS Pet Rescue through a gift from a retirement plan, such as:
IRA
401(k)
403(b)
Pension plan
This is a simple way to help SOS Pet Rescue continue providing life-saving services for animals.
Life Insurance
You can name SOS Pet Rescue as:
A primary beneficiary, or
A contingent (conditional) beneficiary
Why Planned Giving Matters
At its heart, SOS Pet Rescue is about connection:
Between animals and people
Between compassion and action
Between what’s possible and what’s needed
The work of rescue is never-ending. And with the financial challenges life can bring, it may not always be possible to give right now — no matter how passionate you are.
With planned giving, you can put a gift in place that:
does not create a financial burden for you or your family, and
helps SOS Pet Rescue continue its compassionate, life-saving efforts for years to come.
